Crush It! is the current read that I picked up over the weekend per a friend’s suggestion. Crush It! focuses on building your personal brand via the power of social network (and the internet). The evolving current economic climate has pushed many of us to re-evaluate priorities with regards to our career paths. Gary doesn’t say anything “revolutionary”, but he does frame the conversation in manner which puts things in perspective. We’ll see how the rest of the book shakes out. Check out the summary below. -!YG (more…)

I’m not sure what to make of this episode of the ‘Founders Friday’, but it was quite educational. Glenn Beck is the last person that I would expect to admit to how American history has omitted the contribution of people of color. At the end of the day we all have to do the knowledge about our history because it is the blueprint to the future. Check it out and let me know what you think. Go here for extra footage. -!YG

The Shakespeare in the park series will be starting up on June 9th thru August 1st and promises to be just as exciting as 2009. The two plays that will be showing this summer are The Winter’s Tale & The Merchant of Venice. The legendary Al Pacino will be on deck playing the role of Shylock in the romantic comedy the Merchant of Venice.
For those who don’t know attending Shakespeare in the park is totally FREE (if u can get a tkt). I would recommend using the virtual line feature on the Pubic Theater’s website. For more information go here. -!YG
