Larry Ossei-Mensah is an cultural critic, independent curator and entrepreneur who has emerged as a dynamic voice for the rising creative class. Ossei-Mensah has documented  cultural and contemporary art happenings for various publications such as Arise, Uptown, Whitewall Magazine, My Global Hustle, and M Daily (co-founded with Amani Olu). His writings include profiles of Swizz Beatz, El Anatsui, Yinka Shonibare, Mickalene Thomas, Rashid Johnson, JR and Derrick Adams.

In 2009, Ossei-Mensah was featured in the NY Times Styles section curated by the legendary Bill Cunningham “Celebrating Art and Music.” The multihyphenate Ossei-Mensah was also chosen for Young Curators, New Ideas IV in the summer of 2012, where he demonstrated a curatorial acumen that made him one to watch. Summer of 2013 he co-curated a group exhibition with Dexter Wimberly featuring all female artists entitled: Crossing the Line: Contemporary Drawing and Artistic Process at Mixed Greens Gallery.  Ossei-Mensah recently unveiled his latest project a multimedia exhibition is entitled: #MassiveAttack highlighted by the much heralded “Becoming Beyonce” installation by Ramon Silva that was on view at the Spring/Break Art Show during Armory Week.

Ossei-Mensah possesses over a decade of advertising and entertainment experience working at Sony Music, ClearChannel, Fox TV, Carat Media, and The World Economic Forum all serving as a catalyst for his latest entrepreneurial venture the MEDIUM Group, a boutique agency he co-founded with Amani Olu to help brands and artists navigate the art world. Ossei-Mensah currently serves on Russell Simmons’ RUSH Artist Advisory Board. He lives and works in New York City
