Last night I co-hosted with Marisa Sage (Like the Spice Gallery) a intimate cocktail event in honor of South African artist & my friend Zwelethu Mthethwa. Zwelethu is visiting NYC for few days, so we organized a gathering of artists, collectors, critics & art enthusiast for an evening of cocktails & conversation.

Folks who were in the building also got to see the latest work by Chino Amobi, an emerging Nigerian American painter from VA. Overall it seems that everyone had a good time & made some new connections. I’m hoping to organize another cocktail event very soon……

Special shout & thank you to Zwelethu Mthethwa for hanging with us for the evening, Marisa Sage for co-hosting & opening up her beautiful gallery Like the Spice to us for the evening, Kyp Malone for coming thru, Chino Amobi for sharing his art with us and everyone who shared their evening with us. Although 30 is NOT the new 20, I’m very grateful for all the bday LOVE today. Thank you to all my peeps for being a true blessing in my life.
