Why Are So Many Singles Black Ladies…. Still Single

Interesting report on the complexities of dating for successful African American women. I’ve always found it baffling that this types of reports always get the female perspective, but rarely male insight into this cultural conundrum . It is pretty hard to find answers when the dialogue is 1 way. Check it out and let me know what you think. -!YG

very insightful thanks for sharing this with us
yes we Black women have very high standards but i believe if we start being a little more open minded we will let in more men. Yes my preference is Black men but I am not blocking myself from blessings. I think society pushes Black women to be independent and high achievers but don’t teach us how to be in committed relationships. There needs to be a change…..

Interesting. So you think there needs to be a re-framing of how women approach relationships?

I would disagree. I feel the women in this segement have a lot of insecurities and to compensate, became successful over achievers. However their success in their careers, etc, is does not solve their relationship issues. I bet you they have had these problems in HS/college/law school. This happens with people of all races; looking for “mr. right” without looking into themselves first. Steve Harvey should of asked the women what happened in their last “long term” relationship.
I bet this was happening while they were still in school, before the checks rolled in.

Very interesting point. We often neglect to reflect on the root of these issues. If you don’t love u first, it becomes hard to love someone else.
